The great thing about Chipotle is that — like many a fast-casual restaurant — their ingredients are already separated before you build your bowl, decreasing the likelihood of cross-contamination. When I was younger, Chipotle was my GO TO PLACE while on roadtrips or traveling, because I already knew exactly what I could eat there. 

In recent years, they've stepped up their vegan game too, making it a great choice for last-minute food options (though not exactly the healthiest option). 

Plus, when you visit their website, they break down everything you need to know about eating vegan at their restaurants. 


What's vegan: 

  • flour tortillas 
  • crispy corn tortillas
  • sofritas
  • white rice
  • brown rice
  • black beans
  • pinto beans
  • fajita vegetables 
  • fresh tomato salsa
  • roasted chili-corn salsa
  • tomatillo green-chili salsa
  • tomatillo red-chili salsa
  • guacamole 
  • romaine lettuce
  • tortilla chips 

My typical order: 

  • chipotle bowl with brown rice and black beans
  • sofritas 
  • fajita vegetables
  • fresh tomato salsa
  • tomatillo salsa
  • double romaine 
  • corn
  • guacamole (not extra for veggie bowls!) 
  • side of chips, because obviously.
